news and updates
Home Office Closed starting March 23rd
The State of California has mandated businesses to institute a "stay at home" policy for all residents of California. At this time, our customer service department will continue to work remotely without impacting our ability to provide the high level of service you expect from us.
While the guidelines are currently unclear, we hope our warehouse can remain open in a limited capacity as well. Remember, over 90% of our pieces are in stock. All of your orders will be queued for immediate shipment. All other departments will be closed and respond to any questions upon return to the office.
As of now, our showrooms in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York have moved to an appointment-only status until it is safe and responsible to reopen. This may change based on local/state mandates, so please reach out to the showroom directly to determine current status. In addition, your local sales representative is available to work with you in creative ways.
In the meantime, please remember that our Made Goods website offers a customer portal for all active accounts where you can view stock status, place orders online, and track open orders, among other things. Should you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via email or phone as you normally would, as we will continue to be available to customers.
We appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and support, as we all continue to work in new ways. We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.
Your Team at Made Goods
Showrooms Open By Appointment Only
Starting March 18th, all Made Goods’ showrooms will be open by appointment only. This may change based on local/state mandates, so please reach out to the showroom directly to determine current status.
A NOTE FROM OUR OWNERS
As we all continue to process the effects of COVID-19, I wanted to share some insight into our focus as we navigate through, addressing safety and avoiding panic.
Oscar and I, as well as everyone on our team, want to let you know that our thoughts are with you, our friends and partners. As you work to find a new balance between your professional and personal lives, please remember to remain focused on your safety and health, following the guidelines for your community.
For us in everything we do, we will continue to ensure the health of our employees and their families, including following all Health Department guidelines and recommendations.
As well, we are committed to continuing to work with you on your needs. We began internal preparations last month, preparing for a wide range of scenarios.
This early work allows most of our team (including our customer service department) to work remotely from their home. For you, this will be seamless. In fact, if you connected with us by email or phone last week, it is very likely you were working with a remote team member. As of now, we continue to be able to work from our main office, but should we need to close the building, we will continue to work remotely without impacting our ability to provide the high level of service you expect from us.
As it relates to our showrooms, all are currently open and maintaining regular business hours. We will continue to follow guidelines and recommendations of local Health Departments, as well as showroom building management. We will inform you should we need to close locations or move to an appointment-only approach temporarily.
We have already introduced our spring collection, and all information, including detailed images, is online and in our catalogs, which were mailed in the last month. And importantly, the majority of these products are in stock as well. While we were looking forward to showing you the pieces in person at one of our trade shows or showrooms, you can trust that every product we make continues to have the same attention to detail and focus on quality we are known for.
Many of you have called asking about possible longer-term effects on our product inventory as well as our supply chain. We currently have an inventory of over 95% of our styles, with additional replenishments already en route to us. Aside from select UL lamp wiring, we do not manufacture in China. Our vendor partners include a diverse base of countries and regions of the world. Currently, all have full production capabilities.
This is uncharted ground for all of us. We are focused on remembering that by working together and adjusting quickly to a new, short-term way of approaching our daily and professional lives, we emerge stronger when we return to normalcy.
Stay safe, healthy and positive in your outlook and approach,
Chris & Oscar
