Harvested by hand in hot, humid areas, such as India and Bangladesh, jute fibers are separated from the plant, processed, and then woven. Because jute is a natural fiber, environmental changes, like humidity and temperature, can affect its growth. Given this, you may see some variation in texture, thickness, and color from piece to piece—a unique touch that offers each one of our jute styles another level of charm. Some products may even feature darker lines in the fabric than others, leaving each one with a subtle sense of individuality.
Full-grain leather is sourced from the top cut of the hide, making it a very durable material that will develop a patina over time. Given that this material is sourced from real animals, it often features wrinkles, scarring, and even slight color variation that’s unique to that specific animal, adding a touch of personalization to each piece.
