A decorative frame is layered over the bookcase's structural frame, creating the illusion of added depth. Additionally, a textured back panel made of loosely woven rattan offers both pattern and contrast while filtering light.
What To Expect
Rattan is typically harvested from rattan palms, which grow in tropical regions, and the appearance and texture can vary depending on the environment. For example, whether the season was more dry or wet than usual can impact its natural color, and the time of year it’s harvested can affect how it absorbs color. Some might even include small marks of darker shades, leaving each piece with a subtle sense of individuality.
