Why Details Matter
Since 2009, Made Goods has transformed unique materials in unexpected ways and has been drawn to the natural charm of raw materials.
We work with craftspeople around the world, many carrying on techniques passed down through generations. With each piece being crafted by hand, slight variations in color and shape are part of the process, not an exception to it, making each item truly one-of-a-kind.
Our Philosophy
Each material is chosen for its unusual character and shaped by thoughtful hands, because details matter. Explore what makes each versatile piece unique.
02
Each Piece, a Maker's Mark
Bone & Mother
of Pearl Inlay
Bone and mother-of-pearl inlay bring a natural luminosity faux materials can't match. When we use these materials, each piece is meticulously handcrafted by master artisans making each piece its own work of art.
03
Form Meets Function
Faux Materials
Faux materials are cast from their natural counterparts, capturing every texture and variation without the fragility. From faux raffia to faux Belgian linen to faux shagreen, each one replicates the character of the real thing while standing up to daily life.
04
A Life of its Own
Hair-on-Hide
Each pattern and marking of hide is nature's own, giving every piece a look you won't find twice. Add exceptional strength and durability, and hair-on-hide becomes as functional as it is striking.
To Be Expected
Fabric Variation
Because hides vary in color and texture, each piece is entirely unique. The natural variation shows the true characteristics of authentic leather.
06
With the Grain
Leather
Full-grain leather is cut from the top layer of the hide, making it the most durable part of the material. Naturally sourced, it carries wrinkles, scarring, and natural color variation unique to each hide. Over time, it develops a rich patina, so the leather only grows more distinct with age.
