Hollie Vase
Hollie is Mid-Century Stoneware at its best. Repeating loops stand out from the vase's simple frame: a simple yet impactful visual effect. Adventurousglazes including broad strokes of terracotta and speckles of black over rustic white give it a painterly feel.
What To Expect
Our stoneware pieces are made from secondary clay, which contains plant bark and husk, seeds, and inorganic materials, so the color can vary slightly from red to brown. Additionally, as the material is molded, glazed, and loaded into the kiln, minor imperfections can occur, like pin holes from the firing process, small chips and cracks, and marks due to running glaze. If the kiln is wood-fired, there may be more variation in the texture and color given the less predictable nature of fire and the presence of ash; gas-fired kilns, on the other hand, tend to have a little more control over the temperature, resulting in a more evenly fired piece. Ultimately, these types of variation are expected and leave each piece with a stunning, one-of-a-kind look.
