Loz Stool
The ceramic Loz has a light, elegant mushroom shape highlighted by its two-toned finishes. A glossy top paired with a metalized blackwash glaze on the tapered bottom. The stool's handmade nature is its draw- organic markings in the glaze and an imperfect line between the two colors make each piece entirely unique.
What To Expect
Our ceramic pieces are made from secondary clay, which contains plant bark and husk, seeds, and inorganic materials, so the shade can vary slightly from red to brown. Additionally, as the material is molded, glazed, and loaded into the kiln, minor imperfections can occur, like pin holes from the firing process, small chips and cracks, and marks or inconsistencies in the paint due to running glaze. If the kiln is wood-fired, there may be more variation in the texture and color given the less predictable nature of fire and the presence of ash; gas-fired kilns, on the other hand, tend to have a little more control over the temperature, resulting in a more evenly fired piece. Ultimately, we welcome these types of variation because they offer each one of our pieces a stunning, one-of-a-kind look.
