Keanu Counter Stool
In handwoven peeled rattan, our Keanu counter stool is a laid-back take on the classic barrel back style. It is available in natural rattan with two horizontal stripes in a variety of finishes, its arched stretcher accented with peeled rattan fasteners for an added flair. Sourced from a climbing palm tree mostly found in Southeast Asia, no two strands are exactly alike. Natural variations in color and weaves are to be expected in each piece.
What To Expect
Rattan is typically harvested from rattan palms, which grow in tropical regions, and the appearance and texture can vary depending on the environment. For example, whether the season was more dry or wet than usual can impact its natural color, and the time of year it’s harvested can affect how it absorbs color. Some might even include small marks of darker shades, leaving each piece with a subtle sense of individuality. These types of variation are why we love utilizing natural materials for our designs; they offer each piece its own hint of character.
